Sign Design and Production for the NPO Akizu
Signs that help your business stand out in the community and convey your message
We designed a sign for the NPO Akizu.
For this project, we are creating two types of signs: roadside signs designed to clearly guide people to the facility’s location, and storefront signs designed to inform people about the facility’s existence and activities.
Akizu is an NPO dedicated to creating spaces where local residents—regardless of whether they have disabilities—can feel at ease, as well as to supporting children’s independence and promoting community outreach activities.
For the sign design, we aimed to create a design that is approachable and easy to understand even for first-time viewers, while incorporating the sentiments embodied in the logo: “positive growth,” “connections between people,” and “a warm, supportive presence within the community.”
On roadside signs, the company name and arrow are displayed in large font so they can be easily recognized from a distance.
The design features a simple layout that prioritizes visibility so that drivers and pedestrians can instantly recognize its presence, even in the brief moment they pass by.
For the store sign, in addition to the logo and name of the NPO Akizu, we clearly outlined the roles of the “Community Activities” and “Safe Space” programs they operate.

By including this message, we’ve created a design that goes beyond a simple facility name sign to convey the role that Akizu plays within the community.
By combining bright orange and red as the main colors with soft background hues, we’ve created a warm and inviting look that instills a sense of comfort in everyone from children to adults.
